Here are the last two CD I bought.

The Way Of All Flesh by Gojira: I really like this album, and it grow in me at each listen. This french metal band is innovative and offer a personnal sound: the gojira sound. As always it can be compare to other bands. Gojira sound more like Messhugah, Textures and Strapping Young Lad. The way of all flesh is their third album.
It's complex, technique, groovy and at the same time well written and imprint of a special dark feeling. Highly recommended!


Traced In Air by Cynic: It's their second album and it's coming 15 years after their first. Cynic is described as a Technical Death Metal band, but their latest effort is more on the progressive side.
Traced in Air is more like a concept album lasting about 35min. The music is really good but like their first album "Focus", I have a lot of difficulty to immerse myself in their music. Maybe with more listen? For those who are interested (knowing i'm writing that maybe just for myself) Traced in Air is rapid kinda jazzmetal riffing, with really good drum and melodies. The signig is vocoded and multilayered (including a female voice) and sound kinda extraterestrial, accompanied with little growl there and there. The writing is really complex and progressive.
